Where We Work : Affiliate Offices

BRAC UK and BRAC USA were created as our partners to help mobilise support for our international work.

Their mission is to provide strategic and programme support, raise awareness, and cultivate partnerships in support of our programmes in Asia and Africa. By creating a global network that share our values and vision, we bring together the knowledge, innovation and entrepreneurship to build scalable, sustainable solutions to poverty, disease, illiteracy and environmental degradation around the world.

Our affiliate offices are helping us achieve two specific funding goals _ commitments that we made at the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) in 2006 and 2007.

In 2006, BRAC committed to raise USD 250 million over the next 10 years to implement comprehensive health, education, microfinance and empowerment programmes in at least five African countries. At the CGI in 2007, BRAC made another commitment to mobilise an additional USD 271 million to empower the next generation by providing education to 7.5 million children and young people in five Asian and African countries over the next five years.
