We started operations in Uganda in 2006. BRAC is now one of the largest development organisations in the country in terms of scale and diversity of work.

We currently reach close to 1 million people in all four regions, providing critical livelihood development services to poor households including:

• Microfinance
• Livelihood Development
• Health
• Education
• Empowerment and Livelihoods for Adolescents

We are a key civil society partner helping the government pursue its ambitious goal of “prosperity for all.”

BRAC is also providing permanent jobs and career development for more than 1,500 Ugandans (85% of whom are women).
