Announcing transitions on the BRAC USA Board of Directors
A message from the President and CEO
I am delighted to announce that Asif Saleh, Executive Director of BRAC Bangladesh, has joined the Board of Directors of BRAC USA. Mr. Saleh brings more than two decades of experience in international development, technology, financial services, and executive management. Mr. Saleh recently succeeded Dr. Muhammad Musa as Executive Director of BRAC Bangladesh, who took the helm of BRAC International earlier this year. As Dr. Musa transitions off of the Board to focus on his new role, I would like to express my deep appreciation for his guidance and support during his tenure.
Mr. Saleh’s leadership will be a great asset. In the years I have known him, he has been a strong leader, a devoted colleague, and a fierce advocate for the underserved. I am confident that his deep knowledge of BRAC Bangladesh and his insights into technology, communications, strategy, and executive management will enhance the governance of BRAC USA. His breadth of experience at BRAC from the field to headquarters and spanning multiple programs and functions will certainly bring tremendous value to BRAC USA and improve our efforts to empower communities in situations of poverty. His membership on the Board will ensure it continues to benefit from a Bangladeshi perspective as BRAC USA works to further BRAC’s global vision of a world where everyone can realize their potential.
On a related note, I would also like to extend my sincere thanks to two additional outgoing members of our Board, Ann Mei Chang and Catherine Muther. Their years of service have been instrumental to our growth as an organization, particularly as we have sought to augment our communications, strategy, and innovative anti-poverty solutions. Ms. Chang has joined the Pete for America campaign as Chief Innovation Officer, where she will leverage her experience in technology, data, and analytics. Meanwhile, Ms. Muther will transition to the BRAC USA Advisory Board and continue to play a role in shaping the future of BRAC USA. Please join me in thanking Ms. Chang, Ms. Muther, and Dr. Musa for their tremendous service to BRAC USA and the global BRAC family during their tenures on our Board.
