It's time they had the opportunity to pursue them.
In Sierra Leone, Swarah is speaking up for a future where every girl can shape her own. Through BRAC's youth empowerment program, she's building confidence, learning practical skills, and finding her voice.Girls have dreams, too.
Every girl deserves the chance to decide who she wants to be and what she wants to achieve. But social expectations, limited opportunities, and unequal systems can stand in the way.
Swarah is determined to challenge those barriers. Through BRAC's youth empowerment program, she has found a space to build her confidence, develop practical skills, and work toward her goals.
Now, she's speaking up for other girls, too. She wants every girl to have the freedom and opportunity to pursue her dreams.

A chance to dream and a path to make it happen.
Through the Mastercard Foundation Accelerating Impact for Young Women (AIM) partnership, BRAC works with adolescent girls and young women to develop practical life skills, continue their education, and find pathways to dignified work. Through youth clubs, mentorship, financial skills, and support for entrepreneurship, girls can build confidence, earn an income, and take steps toward their goals.
And the ambition is growing. AIM aims to reach 2 million adolescent girls and young women across seven African countries by 2033, helping more young women access the skills and opportunities to shape their futures and strengthen their communities.
