BRAC began its journey in the Philippines in 2012. With a population of over 114 million, the Philippines is made up of more than 7,600 islands. The country is rich in culture and biodiversity. Yet many communities face persistent challenges. This is especially true in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM). Poverty, conflict, and natural disasters have long affected families’ lives.
BRAC Philippines works with communities in BARMM. Together, we strengthen education, ensure youth have opportunities to thrive, and build more resilient communities. In the Philippines, BRAC partners with both local and national governments. We support families as they create a more hopeful future for themselves and generations to come.

PHILIPPINES
The Philippines is known for its vibrant culture and diverse ecosystems. It’s one of the fastest-growing economies in Southeast Asia, expected to grow by over 6% in 2025.
The services, industry, and agriculture sectors are thriving. However, many Filipinos have limited access to healthcare, education, and employment. This is especially true in rural and conflict-affected areas. With the right support, individuals across the Philippines are building more resilient futures.
