Bangladesh hosts over one million Rohingya in Cox’s Bazar, in one of the world’s largest protracted crises.
BRAC was already present in Cox’s Bazar when the 2017 Rohingya influx began and has since grown into the largest civil society responder to the crisis, delivering multifaceted, holistic services to both refugees and host communities.
Our integrated approach addresses the complex challenges of the Rohingya crisis through initiatives in health, nutrition and food security; education; WASH; community-based protection; gender-based violence and legal protection; child protection; livelihoods and skills development; and shelter, site management and disaster risk reduction—meeting immediate needs while building long-term resilience.
