For over 50 years, BRAC has believed that anyone living in poverty or inequality, given the right tools, opportunities, and support, can change their life. The Village ensures that women can do that every year.
Our monthly giving community, The Village, helps tens of thousands of women do that each year. When you give to BRAC, 100% of your donation goes directly to supporting people living in poverty across Asia and Africa.
BRAC doesn't show up for one moment in a person's life. Many of the people BRAC serves stay connected for years, moving from one program to the next as their circumstances and goals grow. A woman might begin in the Ultra-Poor Graduation program, build her livelihood, expand her business through a BRAC microloan, and invest in her children's future at a BRAC learning center.
That kind of progress doesn't happen all at once. It happens step by step with a whole village of support behind her.
