1. Make a secure online gift
The easiest and quickest way to make a gift is online on our website. Your secure online gift can be made through debit or credit card, Venmo, Google Pay, and more. And the best part? 100% of your gift supports BRAC programs, reaching families and communities around the world.
2. Set up a recurring monthly gift for sustained impact all year long
The most impactful way to support BRAC is by joining our community of monthly donors. Our monthly donors power possibilities 365 days a year! Spreading your giving throughout the year can simplify planning and record-keeping for you, and it’s a crucial, reliable source of income to power BRAC’s programs.
Even modest investments—when backed by smart, community-driven programs—can ripple outward in extraordinary ways. Your monthly gift to BRAC USA is the start of that ripple effect, and a sustainable, easy way to amplify your impact.
3. Donate appreciated stock or securities
By donating appreciated securities, your generosity can go further by reducing fees, unlocking tax benefits, and ensuring more of your gift reaches communities in need.
If you’ve seen strong gains in your portfolio, giving stock can help you avoid capital gains taxes, and may even provide a deduction for the full value of the gift. Donating appreciated securities—like stocks, bonds, or mutual funds—is one of the most tax-efficient ways to support BRAC USA’s work.
Benefits may include:
- Avoiding capital gains tax on appreciated investments
- Receiving a charitable deduction for the full market value
- Supporting BRAC USA without affecting your cash flow
Give appreciated stock today.
4. Make a gift through your IRA
Make your retirement savings go further by giving the gift of hope. Your gift through an IRA can power BRAC’s life-changing programs.
If you’re 70 ½ or older, giving from your IRA can count toward your Required Minimum Distribution and may lower your taxable income, and you can transfer up to $108,000 annually from your IRA directly to BRAC USA, completely tax-free.
The benefits of giving through your IRA include:
- Reducing your taxable income by satisfying your Required Minimum Distribution
- Lowering your adjusted gross income, which can reduce Medicare premiums and taxes on Social Security
- Supporting a cause you care about, without needing to itemize deductions
Make a Qualified Charitable Distribution through your IRA today.
5. Recommend a grant from your donor-advised fund
A donor-advised fund (DAF) is a popular charitable giving vehicle that allows you to recommend grants to nonprofits from a dedicated giving account—while receiving an immediate tax deduction when you contribute to it.
As a DAF holder, you’re choosing a strategic way to give. By recommending a grant to BRAC USA, you turn that choice into real impact!
Plus, there are several ways to make your DAF giving even more impactful:
- Set up recurring grants: An easy, strategic way to provide steady support communities can rely on.
- Bundle your giving: Create deeper impact and maximize tax efficiency by making several gifts at once.
- Engage your family: Build a shared philanthropic legacy across generations.
- Name BRAC USA as a beneficiary to your DAF account.
If you want your grant to count for the 2025 calendar year, we advise that you aim to submit the recommendation by December 23 so there’s time for us to process it. Recommend your DAF grant today and help unlock potential for millions.

That means your impact can go further to fight poverty, empower women, advance education, and strengthen health care in Africa and Asia. Some companies even match gifts from spouses and retirees! Generous BRAC USA donors regularly multiply their donations through their employer's matching gift program.

Bonus: Take advantage of charitable tax benefits before they shift
Starting in 2026, charitable giving rules will shift. While there are some benefits, for many donors the new law may reduce tax advantages. This makes 2025 an important year to give strategically and take advantage of today’s tax treatment.
Beginning in 2026:
- Donors who itemize will only be able to deduct charitable gifts above 0.5% of adjusted gross income (AGI).
- High income earners will see the charitable tax benefit capped at 35 cents per dollar donated, down from 37 cents today.
What can you do before the year ends? As you consider your giving plans for the remainder of 2025, here are several tax-smart ways to support:
- Accelerate your giving: If you plan to give over several years, consider “frontloading” your donations in 2025 to secure today’s tax advantages.
- Take advantage of the higher SALT cap: The state and local tax deduction cap has temporarily increased from $10,000 to $40,000, which may make itemizing more beneficial for those in high-tax states. If you itemize next year, consider frontloading charitable gifts to maximize your savings.
- Use donor advised funds (DAFs): Contribute to a DAF in 2025 to receive the full tax benefit now and recommend grants over time.
- Explore IRA giving: If you are over 70½, IRA Qualified Charitable Distributions allow up to $108,000 in direct charitable gifts, bypassing the new deduction floor and cap.
