A rigorous evaluation of BRAC’s Empowerment and Livelihoods for Adolescents (ELA) program in Uganda found that girls in villages with ELA clubs were almost 50% more likely to engage in income-generating activities and were significantly more likely to delay marriage and pregnancy.
