Giving Tuesday was a tremendous start to the season of generosity. And BRAC donors really stepped up.
Every day, every month, and every year, we are so humbled by the ways that BRAC donors show up. They chip in what they can, because they believe in a brighter future--and they know that future is possible.
BRAC donors are investing in proven solutions, and in the bright futures for the women, children, and families who participate in our programs.
Equipped with the opportunities, skills, and resources they need, their potential--and the impact of donor dollars--multiplies.
And this Giving Tuesday, donor impact soared! A group of dedicated BRAC USA donors offered to match every dollar raised 1:2, creating triple the impact. That means each and every gift we received during our special Giving Tuesday match was multiplied by three.
On Giving Tuesday, our community of supporters donated $11,752.89. And, because of the special match, those dollars were tripled to create $35,258.67 of impact.
Thank you.
Those dollars will go far. They will educate children, support young women to forge brighter futures, help families lift themselves out of poverty, and more. That $35,000+ could:
- Support 70 women to lift their families out of extreme poverty and continue on an upward economic trajectory for years to come
- Empower 175 young women to build better futures by learning new skills, forming social connections, and gaining the tools to start their own business
- Train 350 women as community health workers who deliver lifesaving care to mothers and babies in their communities
- Support and train 700 farmers to improve crop yields, boost their incomes, and provide nutritious food to their communities
That’s a whole lot of impact.
