Water, sanitation and hygiene in Bangladesh

The poorest households in Bangladesh spend almost three times more than the richest households on water, sanitation and hygiene.

BRAC works to ensure that everyone, everywhere has access to safe water, sanitation and hygiene services – especially in hard-to-reach, climate-vulnerable and urban informal settlements. With internal displacement and rapid urbanization, WASH is critical for public health, and our community-led model ensures sustainable impact that protects lives and promotes wellbeing for future generations.
