The wealth of evidence on the long-term impacts of Graduation has influenced widespread adoption, including among 15 governments in Latin America, Africa, and Asia.
BRAC is working with governments in Ethiopia, India, Indonesia, the Philippines, Rwanda, and South Africa on integrating the Graduation Essentials, or ABCs, into existing systems at scale to achieve greater, more lasting impact. To reach the hundreds of millions of people living in extreme poverty, we must urgently do more. We know what works. The resources are there. Now we need to build the political will and multisectoral support to scale it through existing systems, enabling millions more to escape the poverty trap.

Nyamagabe District in Rwanda signs MoU with BRAC to launch district-led Graduation program
This new collaboration aims to launch a district-level Graduation program targeting more than 10,000 households in extreme poverty. It aims to be a model for national scaling efforts in Rwanda.

Meet Lizel Sol, a participant in the Generating Better Livelihoods project in South Africa
The South African Social Security Agency, a key partner in the Generating Better Livelihoods project led by FinMark Trust, has submitted video entries to the International Social Security Video Festival 2025. These videos showcase how grant recipients involved in the project are using their social security benefits coupled with training, coaching, and mentorship to improve their livelihood.

India's National Rural Livelihood Promotion Society signs an MoU with BRAC
Through this agreement, those furthest behind will be included in DAY-NRLM, a flagship livelihoods program led by the Ministry of Rural Development.
This partnership is taking shape at a crucial juncture for DAY-NRLM, which has been steadfastly dedicated to universal and inclusive mobilization.
