BRAC Artificial Insemination is Bangladesh’s leading private sector provider of cattle and goat insemination services.
Established in 1987, our work increases the incomes of smallholder dairy farmers by ensuring farmers have access to higher-yielding breeds.
We work through a network of trained local service providers who deliver door-to-door insemination services and farmer education across all 64 districts in Bangladesh. This means farmers can access support wherever they are, and creates livelihood opportunities in rural communities.

Impact on farmers and dairy productivity
We operate two bull stations in Mymensingh and Bogra, producing high-genetic-value semen from superior breeds including Holstein Friesian, Sahiwal, Red Chittagong, Munshiganj cattle, Murrah buffalo, and Black Bengal goat. We also organize events to showcase the best cattle and goats.
Strengthening Bangladesh’s dairy value chain
Backed by modern breeding technologies such as computer-assisted semen analysis, ultrasound machines, and advanced freezing equipment, we guarantee reliable semen quality and stronger breeds. Combining this modern breeding technology with a farmer-focused approach is strengthening Bangladesh’s dairy value chain, improving milk output, and creating long-term benefits for rural communities.
