A pioneer in social forestry and horticulture

BRAC Nursery began its journey in 1988 with a simple mission - to make high-quality seedlings accessible to small and marginal farmers to boost agricultural productivity and rural earnings. Over the years, this work expanded to promote tree planting, protect the environment, and help communities thrive through sustainable gardening and farming. We strengthen rural livelihoods through income and job creation, while also promoting environmental awareness and sustainability.

Today, BRAC operates 15 nurseries across Bangladesh, and has won first prize in the National Tree Fair in the NGO category for 18 consecutive years.

Beyond plants: creating green solutions

rows of young succulent plants are shown growing in colorful containers

Over the years, we have expanded to offer a wide range of green services that support both people and businesses, including:

  • Residential and commercial landscaping
  • Sprinkler and irrigation system installation
  • Organic gardening solutions
  • Lawn planting, mowing, and maintenance
  • Tree and shrub planting and upkeep
  • Hardscaping with concrete, stone, brick, wood, and metal

A commitment to the future

As Bangladesh rapidly urbanises, we are supporting people and organisations to adapt to the twin challenges of development and environmental stewardship. From distributing fruit seedlings to farmers, to providing eco-friendly landscaping services in cities, we bridge rural and urban needs while maintaining a strong environmental focus.
