We know how to build at scale. The harder question: how do we build things worth scaling?
For more than 50 years, BRAC has approached that question from a unique place: the world's largest NGO, run with the discipline of a business, alongside social enterprises built to complement and fuel its mission.
Join us on November 13, as we gather leaders from development, social enterprise, storytelling, and philanthropy — including two of this year's TIME100 Philanthropy honorees — to explore what it takes to reach scale without losing what makes something worth scaling.
The conversation continues afterward over live music, drinks, and light bites, with interactive experiences from BRAC's work around the world.
The conversation

Asif Saleh, Executive Director, BRAC
2026 TIME100 Philanthropy honoree
BRAC is called "the largest… non-governmental organisation in the world, and one of the most businesslike" by The Economist. Asif will share how that business discipline has helped BRAC reach more than 145 million people, powering one of the most ambitious and effective anti-poverty efforts in history.

Tamara Hasan Abed, Managing Director, BRAC Enterprises
BRAC's social enterprises fund more than 80% of its programming in Bangladesh, and each one is built to put impact before profit. Tamara will talk about the impact-first approach and values-driven decisions that put humans first, even if it means sourcing some artisans’ products that yield less profit.

Ernie Ross
Founder, Ross | ReThink · Author, Intangience
Ernie's campaigns have earned more than 500 ADDY and Angel Awards and helped elect the Caribbean's first female presidents and prime ministers. Intangience, a methodology he created and wrote a book about, is validated by the UN-established University for Peace. He'll explore the values of intangible values in developing powerful storytelling that drives the change we collectively want to see.

Glen Galaich, CEO, Stupski Foundation
2026 TIME100 Philanthropy honoree · Author, Control: Why Big Giving Falls Short
Glen once believed in strong, consolidated donor control. Now he argues it's holding philanthropy back. He'll ask what happens when the wealthiest givers let go of the very instinct that helped build their fortunes, and let communities help decide where the money goes.
Together, they ask a larger question: when we have the power to build and scale, what responsibilities come with it, and how do we keep hold of the elements that made it worth scaling in the first place?
