In Sierra Leone, many girls grow up facing expectations and barriers that limit the futures they can imagine for themselves.

Swarah believes every girl deserves the chance to pursue her dreams.

Through her BRAC youth empowerment club, she's building confidence, learning practical skills, and finding her voice. Now, she's speaking up for other girls, too.

This October, as we mark the International Day of the Girl and the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty, we're reminded that these issues are connected. When girls have opportunities to learn, earn an income, and pursue their ambitions, they can build a different future for themselves and their families.

For more than 50 years, BRAC has helped girls and young women break the cycle of poverty. Your support helps make that work possible.

Your gift can help more girls build the skills and confidence to shape their futures.
